Vlookup question

I dont know if id call it a program. I have an excel sheet with 50,000 products in it that has their name, price, etc etc. the products do not include categories which i would like to put in. I would like a program that finds a word in one column (ie, exhaust) and inserts the category (ie, performance/exhaust) in another column. Is this possible?

I need something that I can say... IF you find "example 1" In column A, then put "something" in column B adjacement to example 1. IF "example 2" in column A, then put "something 2" in Column B adjacement to example 2.

Why not filter the Column for exhausts then add the category, repeat it for all categories. It would be quicker than tryin to write code to do it!
