I was at a website last night and I clicked on a link, and it says it was downloading...it was downloading an xls spreadsheet. I clicked okay. I did not see my excel open up though...but obviously the sheet opened and looked like excel. Do you need excel then on your pc to open this file?

IF not then anyone wishing to use their excel files can on the internet. It seemded the sheets had hyperlinks in them and they worked.
