    macro -working out averages

    Hi all,
first off hello to you all!I am new to Excel use and I have what will probably be an easy question.I am working out averages in a spreadsheet using the average function,i have seperate compartments of data across the same spreadsheet.I need to work out the averages in each seperate compartment of data.I have recorded a macro ok,but when I try to use it on the next lot of data below it just works out the averages for the data I used when creating the macro.I need a macro that will work across a spreadsheet. The data is from some biodiversity research and involves the data taken from quadrats. These quadrats differ in number for each compartment of data I need averages for, there are 15 quadrats in one lot of data and maybe only 6 in another etc.I want to be able to quickly get the averages for the quadrat data within each seperate compartment etcI hope this makes sense!!If someone can help that would be great, thanks

I think you will get more help if you attach the workbook.
    Hope that helps.
