    How to create own category for my udf's?

    Hi,

    I have the following problem:

    I have created a steam.xla which contains many functions (written with fortran). Those functions works just fine (I'm able to call them via excel).

    I want to create own category for my udf's (lets say "steam functions") in the insert => function => or select a category drop-down list. How is this done?

    Then another question;

    I want to give descriptions to my udf's via "macro options" method. I manage to do that but the problem is that the descriptions are shown only after I have installed AGAIN the desired steam.xla file in the tools => add-ins dialog box. (if it were already installed)

    I think the above mentioned thing is due to the following statement:

    Please Login or Register to view this content.
    How am I able to run those udf's descriptions every time when EXCEL STARTS (if the desired steam.xla is ALREADY installed)?

    I have tried the following thing;

    Please Login or Register to view this content.
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    When I run this code I keep getting the following error code: run-time error 1004 Cannot edit a macro on a hidden workbook. Unhide the workbook using the unhide command.

    All kind of help is appreciated...

    br,
