Question regarding eliminating empty cells or cells with zeros

I have attached a sample xls workbook containg column A, which represents account numbers and column B, which represents a numerical number affiliated with the account number. If cells in column A are empty the cell to the left of it in column B will indicate "0". I'm curious if anyone could help me figure out a way to delete the empty cells in column A and the cells in Column B, which indicate "0". Due to the fact that the accounts and/or data change in a given time period I cannot use a filter option and further I'd like to use the compressed data to import into another program if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I thought this might only be possible with either a macro or vba, So I hope this is the appropriate forum. Thanks again for any assistance in this matter!

The simplest way is probably to sort by column A and then all the a/c numbers will be in one place and you can delete the rest. Is it worth writing code?

    Thank you!

I'm not sure how to delete the blank cells in a filtered status, but you did give me an idea. I created a macro to filter column A, then I copied the data and then pasted the filtered (useful) data into another worksheet. This new sheet can now be used to export into the other program. So thanks...
