Adding sick occurances in a rolling year

My company uses a point system to monitor sick/tardies/etc over a rolling year period. I am trying to setup a formula or macro to add up the points over that period going back from todays date or even better from a specific date. This seems to be a hard one to tackle, particularly with the way the spreadsheet is setup. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. I attached a copy of the spread sheet.
