Calculate % when total cell not static

    Good afternoon,
I have a spreadsheet with pivot tables calculating the top 10 accounts by product type. I have to the side of the pivot table a formula that gives the % of total top 10. Problem is some products do not have a top 10, they may only have a top 8 and then the total is not in the location referenced by the formula and I get an error result. Is there a way to have the formula use the last cell of column B in the pivot table so that it will always be correct?

    Thank you,
    N

    Hi,

Take a look at this video on inserting a calculated field in a pivot table

    Hi Oldchippy,
Thanks for the reply. I should have clarified in my post that the total is the grand total calculated by the pivot table and I don't have a way to reference it. That is, it is not a separate field, but rather one that the pivot table generates on its own. Does this make sense?
