Hide & Unhide columns in Protected sheet

Hi,

I use to share a long workbook having thousand of linking and formulas. To make the worksheet user friendly, I had put horizontal subtotal function, so that irreverent columns should get hide.

I want to hide & unhide the columns (which are fixed) in a protected sheet.

Please suggest some solutions.
