Excel does not recalculate when calling VBScript

I have an Excel spread sheet that calls a user defined function. First it calls a Visual Basic Script by inputting "=my_function(1,2,3)" into a cell. This script then calls a DLL. When I initially call the function, it returns a value. When I go back and edit the input values in the function, the value returned value is not recalculated. Is there something I can do that will cause the function to return a new value when the input parameters are changed?

Thanks, but I'm still a little confused. Pressing F9 or CTRL-ALT-F9 does not result in a recalculation. The script I'm using resembles the following, but with more input variables

might be useful, but I don't know how to insert it into my script.
