    Sorting sheets when printing?

I have seen code out there that when a macro button is pushed, it will prompt for what sheets you want to print (although I can't remember it now...) I was wondering if it is possible to create a macro that would sort all the sheets into alphabetical order for printing only (so the sheets stay in the same order they were in before printing....) Does this make sense? And if so, can/how is it done?

    Thanks!!!

    Hello tkinsella,

This macro will print the sheeets in a workbook in alphabetical order without re-arranging the sheets in the workbook.

    1. Copy the macro above pressing the keys CTRL+C
    2. Open your workbook
    3. Press the keys ALT+F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor
    4. Press the keys ALT+I to activate the Insert menu
    5. Press M to insert a Standard Module
    6. Paste the code by pressing the keys CTRL+V
    7. Make any custom changes to the macro if needed at this time
    8. Save the Macro by pressing the keys CTRL+S
    9. Press the keys ALT+Q to exit the Editor, and return to Excel

    To Run the Macro...
To run the macro from Excel, open the workbook, and press ALT+F8 to display the Run Macro Dialog. Double Click the macro's name to Run it.

    Sincerely,

    Thanks!

    Thank you so much!
This is exactly what I needed. I get a report from our Payroll department for hours worked and I wanted to keep the sheets in the same order as our payroll report (By department-then alphabetical) so I can enter hours quickly, but needed to print in alpha. order for employees to easily access vacation hours.

    Thanks!!!
