Add text to multiple range of cells

I'm just learning how to use Visual Basic so forgive me if my question is simple.

I want to create a macro in Excel that will add "_R00" to then end of the text in a range of selected cells. The user will need to select the cells that need modified. How do I get the macro to prompt the user to select the cells that need modified and then how do I get the macro to modify each of the selected cells?

I am able to modify a single cell, but I can't figure out how to get it to do it on range of cells.
