big time help Need for Excel Whizzes

Please go to worksheet function section where I posted
my problem with an attached Excel spreadsheet. It involves multiple columns with 2 day counter columns
i need the difference between two numbers but, it involves
looking within a range for a number "1" or the word "start"
I can change it to either, then if this is found within the
range go 2 columns over and grab that number and minus
it from the cell 2 columns over from the formula cell.
eg. go to day #155 unless range (I55:I60) contains the word "start" if it contains the word start then in that row
go 2 columns over and take this number. Minus it from cell L61.
