Question How to use the Workbooks open event?

    Hello,

Is there any Worksheet event which I can use to perform an action when the user first opens the File containing the worksheet?

    Thanks,
    Miguel

Miguel, when you have Excel open right click on the Excel logo at the top left of the screen right next to the word FILE choose View Code and paste this in:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
now save your workbook and close it, when you re-open it you will be presented with the date and time.
Not all forums are the same - seek and you shall find

Is there any way to have this work on any workbook I open. I've only been able to get workbook_open to trigger on workbooks where I've saved the code in thisworkbook.
I'm trying to autosave my spreadsheet to a directory within a time interval. everything is working but the initial trigger.
