Required - macro to check whether the file is open

    Hi,

Can someone help me with a macro that would check whether a work book is open or not.
If the workbook is open it should give a msgbox saying the file is open.
If not then it should open the file and then a msgbox saying the file has now been opened.

    Thsi is an urgent requirement.

    Thanks in advance.

Much appreciated for ur reply ASAP.

    Thanks Sam.

If it's that urgent then I am sure that a search of the Forum would have found code similar to this. Add the Function to Standard Module.

    Hope that helps.
