cell highlight with notes

Hi all

I have a query regarding the attached file of mine.

It's what I call my never ending calendar with birthday list.

What I'm after is when the day and month from the 'list' sheet matches the dates shown in range on the 'calendar' sheet to highlight the matched cells in a different colour and insert a note also on the 'calendar' sheet at the appropriate cell to show the details of who's birthday is due on that date.

The cell formulas currently on the 'calendar' sheet has to stay in tack though otherwise the cell details will appear wrong next month.

When you say insert a note, do you mean add names to the 'comment' box that's attached to every cell. If it's just a question of seeing who has a birthday on a particular day, why don't you just filter the 'List' sheet, either manually or have a macro do it?

I figured that with the limited space available for information that a comments box would probably be better but I'm open to other options.

What you see in the file is a starting block to consolidate pieces of information into the calendar sheet, there is other information that I also want to show from other sheets but I just need a starting point on how to get the ball rolling so to speak, I can then adapt it as and when I need to
