Populating a list box with a defined name

Hi, I am trying to work out how to populate a list box for a user to choose from using data from a defined group of cells in a seperate worksheet but contained within the same workbook. These items can change from only two items in a list to approximately 10. I then need to be able to identify which item was chosen by the user to then only bring back those data items which I can then analyse.
Hope this makes sense - can anyone hlep me please?
