Format cells

Hi, and welcome to the forum
Please take a moment to review the rules and guidelines. Particularly the one about attaching .xls workbooks rather than pictures of particular areas. No one is keen to type your data in from scratch.

Use Conditional formatting but pick the Formula Is option rather than the Cell Value.

hello!

i was wondering if i can do something with excel...
how can i format a cell based on what's entered in another cell?
for example: if i enter "2" in a A1 i want the next 2 cells, B1 and C1 to be formated conditional...
i've attached a picture to be more exact...if i enter 2 i want the last 2 cells to be black cell shading, if i enter 1 i want the last 4 cell to be black cell shading and so on...
