    Find and Compare

    Hi All,

This is my first post here and I am desperately looking for some help. I have attached a sample workbook that breaks down what I am trying to do.

i would like to run a macro that will allow me to press CAT A in the MAIN sheet which will then look into SYSTEM C sheet to see what falls into the CAT A. This will then select or copy all the IDS that fall under CAT.

This will then move onto the SYSTEM B sheet and find the IDS that were copied and get their COUNT values and then total these values up.

Finally, the total should then compare with the values within C5 (SYSTEM A Sheet) and a popup should then come up saying whether the values MATCH or No Match.

Hope that makes sense. If someone could please I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

I don't know what IDS is on sheet System C. Is it column D or column E?

You might go into more detail.
    e.g.
    Step 1:
    1. Cat A would:
    a. Copy, System C!D8:D17 to System B!A19

Try a before and after for System B so we can see what you need for that part. Once we get that done, we can do the other parts.

Thanks for your reply Kenneth. The IDS on System C is on Column D. I have managed to get the following code with quite a bit of asisstance.

This manages to highlight the required cells, but I now need to add values of the cells that have highlighted in gray so that this could be compared to the values to the System A sheet.

hope that makes sense. thanks once again.
