Open the latest file to copy and paste data in another file

    Hello Forum.

I would like to do the following
I have a folder with sub folders with the following structure

    C:\\File\File 1 Jan 2008
    \File 2 Feb 2008
    \….

Each month folder has a file e.g in the folder File 2 Feb 2008 I have this:
    file 01022008.xls
    file 03022008.xls
    file 07022008.xls

So base in a cell value (month and year) in the master spreadsheet, I would like to access the latest file in the corresponding folder and retrieve data from there.

For example if the user choose Feb 2008, the code has to go to File 2 Feb 2008, folder, read and choose file07022008.xls, open it find a specific value and the related data and then populate the table in the master spreadsheet.

Any light how to do it? I tryed something but not working

    Charlize,
thanks for your effort, I did not use this code, but I used a lot from it to make my own, so it was good
