    creating a work roster generator

Hi guys, I am trying to create a roster generator using mainly macros for my work place and i am looking for guidance, help or suggestions from the excel gurus on here. I have attached a copy of the worsheeth. What i am trying to create is a macro that will automatically assign the list of different jobs under "work stations to be assigned" in cells E2:E15 to the staff members randomly in cells D2:D26 under "work station". But it will need to fist check to see which staff are available for work that day, and then what there skills are under "skills" in cells C2:C26. As there are more staff than jobs, after all jobs have been assigned the rest of the workes can be assigned the job "floater" from cell E15. i can send the excel sheeth to anyone who is willing to help me. I am looking for directions, suggestions advice. And because i am not too familiar with vba I will like to stay away from it. Please ask any questions you need to.

    Thanks all.

A work roster can be quite complex, all you have done is created a list. Where's any macros that you mention?
    Hope that helps.

I haven't created any macros yet, but thats the way I want to go. What I am looking for is suggestions advice on what functions to use and any other ideas to assign the jobs to the staff randomly but at the same time, make sure that only the jobs that the workers have the skills for.
