    set formula permanently

    Here is the problem , i have 2 cell ,(cell a,cell b) cell a is for input number, and cell b for program the formula and generate the result .But if i mistype the value into cell b the formula that is preset before would me missing.Which means i need to retype the formula in the function box above the spreadsheet again.I tried to type the formula in macro form but useless .How can i solve it

    If your formula is in Cell B you shouldn't need to type into it if the number goes into Cell A

    First make sure that the cells for input (but not those with the formulas) are unlocked:
    Menue Format>Protection

    Then You should protecft the sheet:
    Menue Extras>Protection
