    Paste Special (VALUES) Button

I want to put a button on a sheet that will paste special (VALUES) from the clipboard into whichever cell is selected.
What code do I use? I'm using Excel 2007

    Thanks in advance

(I did a search but couldn't find anything)

    1. Start the macro recorder
    2. copy something
    3. paste special - values
    4. stop the macro recorder
    5. look at the code.

Or add excel built in button to you're toolbar

View > Toolbars > Customise > Commands Tab > Edit > Paste Values

    Drag to your toolbar

Ok, I haven't used programming much, I tried it but I wasn't sure how much of the code I needed to copy into my button. This is the code below, but when I used it, it didn't work. I'm using Excel 2007

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Use code tags around code. Posting code without them makes your code hard to read and difficult to be copied for testing. Highlight your code and click the # at the top of your post window. For more information about these and other tags, found here

    # is on the toolbar above where you type

Just type 2 x [code] one at the beginning of the code and the 2nd one at the end.

Note the last one needs a / e.g

    [/code

    Example of usage here

Ahh, I found it. It isn't actually there when you try and edit a post, only there for new ones.

    Try the below.

It assumes the range is copied already otherwise remove the ' to copy the range first

Ok, I am very new to this, I have already set up a "Copy" Button in another sheet to copy the contents of a specified cell to the clipboard. What I then want to do is go to another sheet, select a cell (eg. A1) and click a button that will transfer the value of the clipboard from the other sheet into the selected cell on the current sheet. I can't seem to make your code work.

You will have to combine this code then

Select the cells then run the macro. Will ask you to select dest cell
