Loss of link between macro and toolbar Icon

I have a spreadsheet that is saved at midnight every day and then saved as for the next new day. Some times if excel has been closed down incorrectly the link between the macros and tool bar icons has been lost. with about 100 macros and icons this takes a long time to re-assign. How can I prevent this from happening.

I take it this is a custom tool bar. There is probably little you can do to prevent Excel from being closed incorrectly and corrupting the tool bar. A good practice to follow is to create the tool bar each time the workbook opens as a "temporary" tool bar. In other words, the tool bar is not saved when the workbook is closed and rebuilt from code when opened.

Thank you for your reply. I was worried that that would be the case. The spreadsheet is run for a 24hr period and then re-newed at midnight. The old one saved and this is continual for 365 days a year. I guess I'll just have to get my head down and keep working
