A macro that reads number in a cell and uses it....?

Can anyone tell me how i go about making a macro that can read a number in a cell and then inserts that many number of rows. What I am trying to do is an engineering application in soils. I want to put in how many sub layers of the soil there is, and then use the macro to create that many lists of soil descriptors. So if i put in 3 as amount of sub layers, then 3 separate lists will appear. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Place the number of Rows in A1, then select the cell where you want to insert the rows.
