Importing An Awkward Table

Hi Everyone,

I have Excel 2007, and desperately need to import a Wikipedia table into Excel.

I've tried the [data>web] import, this can bring in everything, but I just want the tables and need to be able to update the content from within excel, and this will mess up any formatting I do.
The web import works fine for everything other than wiki tables.

I've successfully used [=importhtml("URL","table","2")] in Google docs. This worked, but there are lots of tables I need to collate in one spreadsheet, and exporting as an .xls is a messy way to achieve this.

I've tried open office, with no success.

I'm sure there must be a nifty Code/Macro/Script/VBA that could solve this, but such things are beyond my level of understanding, please help if you know the answer to this headache!
