Hopefully someone can help me out here as I'm going crazy.
I have a list of phone system data which is around 20,000 records a month. I want to create a filter in excel that will filter this data based on the "column" dialed with a condition "Begins with X".
The X will be the prefix that people dial to get outside line.
I have uploaded an example. I put some fake data in the lines below. I want to have a filter automatically fill in the tables at the top of the sheet based on the data below. Even better, if I can move the results to a different worksheet.
However, for each of the rows at the top:
9
9301
91301
9202
91202
9240
91240
9703
91703
91800
91866
I want to use each of those as a filter of the data below. Using the "Begins with 9 or 9301 or 91301 etc... of the column "dialed".
Then put the results in the columns next to it. All I need is a total of the number of calls that match the filter then the subtotal of those calls "duration" column.
Anyhow, I can do this right now using autofilter but I have to manually put in the "Begins With" filter for the dialed column then copy the values of the result for each filter.
Thanks much for any ideas.
