A quick google search brought me to here.....
http://groups.google.com/group/python-excel
The Python-Excel group is about a library for writing Excel files from Python; if you're looking for ways to actually script your spreadsheets using Python, I don't think there are any pure-Excel solutions.
However, there are other options if you don't mind using a different spreadsheet:
- Resolver One, a spreadsheet that converts your spreadsheet into Python in realtime so that you can put your own code into recalculations. http://www.resolversystems.com.
- You can script OpenOffice Calc using Python, though to be honest it looks a bit scary to me: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Python
- There's an open-source project called PySpread - still pre-alpha, but interesting: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pyspread/
Disclaimer: I should say that I work for Resolver Systems, who produce the first of these. So obviously I think it's the best one to go for :-) We just finished a screencast showing the use of a Python list comprehension in a column-level formula; so if you're a real hard-core Python coder you might find it fun: http://www.resolversystems.com/scree...lumn-formulae/
