    Question remove data in parenthesis

Simple question that I can't find an answer for, anywhere:

Suppose I have data in a range that was imported from "somewhere"...
Some of the data is preceded by team rankings in parenthesis...like so:

    Alabama
    (21) Boston College
    Notre Dame
    (10) Oklahoma
    Texas
    Florida State
    (2) Florida State

I want to strip the data of the team rankings, (as well as any brackets and spaces before the team name). Is there a macro I could write to do this?

    Better yet...

What if I wanted to remove ALL data in parenthesis within a range?

    Hello HuskerBronco,

Do you want to delete the entire row if the cell has parentheses?

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

No Leith...I just want team names ONLY in each cell...so that this:

    Alabama
    (21) Boston College
    Notre Dame
    (10) Oklahoma
    Texas
    Florida State
    (2) Florida

    looks like this:

    Alabama
    Boston College
    Notre Dame
    Oklahoma
    Texas
    Florida State
    Florida

    Thumbs up

    That worked perfect, Arthur.

I tried different FIND and SEARCH functions in formulas...
Should have known it would be something SIMPLE....

I can easily write VBA code into a macro to clean up the imported data.
    Thanks for your quick response...Arthur.
