    Strange ScrollBar behaviour

    Hi all,

not quite sure if this belongs in programming forum, but since y'all deal with controls all the time, you may have seen this before.

I just need to confirm that I'm not seeing things. Attached worksheet has three ScrollBar controls from the control toolbox. I want to use a setup like this with 12 scrollbars on a sheet to set parameters for different scenarios.

The worksheet is saved with all scrollbars set to the max value (5).

Grab the scroll handle of the first scrollbar and drag it to the leftmost position. The linked cell will show the value 1. Click somewhere in the sheet. The scroll handle changes to position 2, but the linked cell still shows the value 1.

The scroll handle does not stay in the left most position, but moves away from it.

If you click the arrows or the gray area besides the scroll handle to change the value to 1, then the position will be kept.

I can reproduce this. Reset the scrollbars by manually entering the max value 5 in the three linked cells. Drag the scroll handle, click somewhere else - BANG - The scroll handle moves on its own, sometimes it takes a split second to do so.

On all three scrollbars. Even with ProportionalThumb=false.

    What am I not getting?

At first I thought that the Excel setup in our Citrix server is funny. So I ran it on the local Excel on my machine. Same deal.

Please try the attached file. If you can reproduce the behaviour, I'll know it's not double vision.

Tearing out my hair here, so enlighten me before I'm all bald

    cheers

I see the same thing, and have no explanation.
