How secure will my worksheet be?

A developer has made the following proposal. My objective is to secure my calculator worksheet. I would like to hear from some of you experts as whether or not this will really do the trick! I know that compiling the whole thing would be much better, but this can be done quickly and inexpensively without taking alot of my time

"We would create a DLL which embeds the Calcx.xls as the resource. The DLL will load calcx.xls into memory at runtime and provide programming interfaces for other spreadsheets. This will protect the core algorithm and reuse the existing resources as much as possible. It will also allow Ernie to make updates to the Calcx.xls spreadsheet without requiring any knowledge of C++ code."
