    Convert one row of data to four

    Ok so I have days and days of converting files here at work. What I would like to to do is this take one row of data and convert it to 4 rows of data.

    abcdefg --->

    abc
    d
    e
    fg

    but then I move down to the next row of data under the first row and my macro start and covers up d e and fg like so......

    abc
    hij
    k
    l
    mn

    What should I do to solve this?

    Attached is an example.

    Re: I have no idea what to title this....

    Hi rjcmillen and welcome to the forum.

    You need to read http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/cells.htm to see how to find the last cell .

    I've added a Macro2 to your code which I hope you can study through and see how it works. Run it to see what happens. Most of all memorize the "LastRow" type of formula as I use it daily.
