    Popup to insert Date value

Hi, I was wondering if somebody could help. i am looking to write a macro that runs as soon as you open the workbook. i would like a popup asking for a date to be selected from a calendar. The date selected then needs to be entered into cell B3 but this will have other text around it.

For example: Date Selected = 26.02.09 so the cell would say "File 26.02.09 Report.xls"

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks in advance.

There's a userform & code to pop up a caendar here

Alternatively, there's a ree addin that pops up a datePicker here

Macdave, I have added the code and tested the file by closing and opening this up, but nothing happens? Any ideas?

Question Re: Popup to insert Date value

Did you add it to the "This workbook" part? i tested it myself and it worked fine?

perhaps you need to enable macro's first
