Dynamic chart -date problems

Hi,
I've an excel file where a new row of data (first column is date and time) is filled in with data every 10 seconds.
On this sheet I've a chart where the data is plotted against time.
I've selected 1000 rows to be plotted.
The rows are not fileld with dates and data to start with.

No the problem is that the chart cannot be read since rows without dates and data is interpred as 1900-01-01 for the dates and therefor the graph cannot be read as data is been added to the sheet until all 1000 rows are filled in.

How can I make the chart readable all the time as values are beeing added to new rows?

search for dynamic named ranges.

This will allow you to restrict the chart to only those cells that have a date rather than a fixed range with empty cells.
