    auto fill

    i have a sheet like this

    1 rama bombay 45
    2
    3
    4 delhi 20
    5 30
    6 krishna madras 20
    7
    8 nagpur 10
    9 20

    i have to fill the blanks with the values .
    rama in 1,2,3,4
    krishna in 7,8,9
    bobay in 2,3
    delhi in 5
    like that
    can there be a macro to fill the blank cells
    no of blanks may vary

    please post your example as an excel workbook. The way it shows above it is not possible to tell whether or not the data is in different columns

    To send the Excel workbook, use the paperclip near the smilely face above this text box.

    Or you can click on the button "Manage Attachements". This is located under the Addtional Options section.

    Once you get to that page,
    1. clilck "Browse" to located the file.
    2. Then click "Upload".
    3.Scroll down
    4. And click "Close this Window"
    5. Click the "Submit Reply"
