    Mass Find & Replace Script?

Hey guys.....I hope I can do a decent job explaining what I need done here.

I run a website that sells over 4700 Health & Fitness items.

I upload information via a .CSV table.....

Every month my supplier sends me an .XML that tells me what products have been discontinued.

I basically am looking for a more efficient way to updating my tables, rather than going one by one...(this could take hours)

What should my script look like for a massive Find & Replace?

    Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

I found this.......is this related to what I want?

Here is a link to my discontinued csv and my website's csv.

    Thanks in advance.

If you can post some sample files, I am sure someone will write a simple macro for you

    Give this a try.

    follow the instructions inside.

Note it assumes only one entry can be found, but I notice sometimes there are 2 entries. You can simply run it twice to delete second entries.

    Hey Mally,

    Thanks for this!

Am I suppose to do anything with "Sheet2" and "Sheet3"? Those pages are empty.

I'm also getting this error....I've already tried re-installing my Microsoft Excel.

I'm using 2007 Excel if it makes any difference, I've also already checked, I have macros enabled.

No, just ignore sheets 2 and 3.

I have no idea why the macro isn't running. Try running it from the menu (Developer\Macro) and see if that works.

Note I have not put any error checking in this. If you have more than the prescribed files open, it may not work. If you have less than the 3 files open, it also wont work. If you rename DiscontinuedSkusCumulative.csv or deletions.xlsm it wont work. It is ok to rename the third file without any issues.

Hope you can get it to work.

    Oh my god, Mally CAT.

Thanks! This really helps a lot!

It works! Apparently there was a security warning I didn't see that said macros were disabled.
