How to fix Error in loading DLL

Hi everyone,

Recently I faced a new problem for me, it occures only with one excel workbook containing some VBA codes, while other workbooks which alos contain VBA Codes work normally.

The problem is a message box appears contains (Error in loading DLL) when I try to run any macro in the.

Any suggestions to solve this problem??

Does it say which DLL?

Goto to VBE (ALT+F11)
Tools > References. Check for any missing references.
Also check that any that are check are actually needed.

References in the corrupted workbook is not active, while it is active in a new workbook.

Sorry, what do you mean by that?

Can you post the workbook that causes the error?

I meant that References option in Tools Menu in the corrupted workbook is not active, while when I open a new workbook I find References option active!!!

Anyhow, I found a back-up workbook of the corrupted one and I solved the problem by copying all modules and forms from the corrupted workbook to the proper one and all codes and forms are working normally now,


But, Can I know what causes that problem in order to avoid facing the same problem again in the future,

I remember that I made some changes in the forms design before facing that problem,

It's pretty much impossible to say what you did to corrupt your workbook without seeing it and you being able to detail what you did.

Glad you managed to recover a backup version though.
