error in XL2003 but not 2000 or 2007

    error in XL2003 but not 2000 or 2007

    I wrote this for a friend who uses XL2003 at work.

    It runs fine on my XL2000 at work and my XL2007 at home but he gets an error on his XL2003.

    Unfortunately, I have no access to XL2003

    We have 3 workbooks open at the time this is running. He gets the error whether or not the active workbook is Book1 when this line runs.

    If you have Explorer set to suppress extensions for known file types, that construct works. If not, you need the .xls extension, i.e., "Book1.xls". And since the latter works in all cases, ...
