Thumbs up Active x calendar control and password

Having created a spreadsheet with active x calendar control I find that if the worksheet is password protected I'm unable to use the control to enter a date. Take the password off and it works fine. Is there a way around this??
The password for the attached example is "date"
    Many thanks

You can unprotect the sheet just long enough to change the value

I added the error handler to make sure the sheet is re-protected if there are any problems!

You can also use protect with userinterface, see

    Hope that helps.

Thank both for your replies. I have used Squiggler47's code so the user can get on without fear of wiping other formulas off the spreadsheet. royUK's pointer to http://www.excel-it.com/vba_examples.htm will be useful too. Thanks again

The sheet is still protected with userinterface, the example allows macros to amend cells without Protecting/Unprotecting.
