Programming Help for date and column issues

Ok let us see if I do this right this time.
This is what I am trying to do
In column 1, I need the date to populate for the month

In column 2, I need a four-digit number in certain places for the days of the week

On the date portion of some of the forms, I do not need to use the weekends

Can I use code to specify this without having to code each box and if so could you please tell me how
I am not a programmer my wife has to do the by hand and I want to help her with making it automated
