Display Alerts False and Follow Hyperlink

I am using the follow hyperlink method to get to several word files and eventually save them to my hard drive. Unfortunately Application.DisplayAlerts = False is not changing my Application.DisplayAlerts status.

When I follow the hyperlink I get a message like the following:
    Opening (url)

Some file can contain viruses/be harmful to your computer...etc

    [OK] [Cancel]

Is there another way to suppress this message?

    Thanks
