XL Macro from 2003 used in XL 2007

    Hello fellow experts!

Im currently using a macro that has been written in microsoft excel 2003 and we've recently upgrade some of our computers to 2007.

My question is: Is it possible to "re-save" the macro as a microsoft excel 2007 file while still being functional?

    Best wishes,

    Filip T

If you have only upgraded some of your computers, it would make more sense to leave the macro file in 2003 format I would suggest.

Mm, you have a clear point indeed. The idea is that they'll all be upgrade at some point, how far ahead is beyond me. However, if we were to try and convernt the macro to 2007, are you aware of any simple ways to do it?

Just save it as an .xlsm or .xlsb file. Most macros will simply work in both versions, depending on what they do. (Application.Filesearch is no longer available in 2007, and somteimes chart code needs a bit of tweaking for example).
