    advanced filter on hidden sheets

Basically, I want this macro to run when I select sheet1 so I have dropped the code into sheet1. The macro runs fine as a stand alone but I get a 1004 protection error when placed into the worksheet module. Sheet "data2" is unprotected. I have tried "calling" the macro from the sheet1 module but it loops. I know it's simple but it's kicking my ***.

data2 is hidden and workbook is unprotected as of now.

NOTE: The Advanced Filter expects the first value in I2 to be a header, not one of the UNIQUE VALUES you want to find.

NOTE2: You might want to change this thread title since it has nothing to do with sheet protection..."Advanced Filter on hidden sheets" maybe...

    Advanced Filter on hidden sheets

That worked... I had to re-select sheet1 though but it got the job done. I have a lot to learn yet.

    1) Who's BC?

    2) If that takes care of your need, be sure to EDIT your original post, click Go Advanced and mark the PREFIX box [SOLVED].

    3) While you're in the first post, perhaps changing the thread title would be appropriate since this has nothing to do with sheet protection.

Suggestion: "Advanced Filter on hidden sheets"
