    Workbook Relationships

    Two dumb questions:

    1) In the event that it is prudent to have two sessions of Excel open, is it possible to programmaticallly share data between the files associated with each session?

    2) I know it is possible to get data from a closed workbook but is it possible to write data to a closed workbook?

    1. Yes, it is possible.
    2. Yes, it is possible under certain circumstances. Often it's easier just to open the other workbook though.
