Question Intersting doubt on Excel Formatting...

    Hi everyone.

I got an interesting question when I was working with excel 2007. My question is:

say if I have a workbook with 5 different sheets within that and all the sheets have different data but the dimension of the array is same. Data is copied from some other software. Now I want to format the data to publish as a report. I have like 5000X20 dimension of array. I want to do formatting in sheet 1 and arrange the data. I want excel to perform the same action simultaneously in all other sheets of the workbook. That is, whenever particular action (ex: drawing border to the table) is performed in sheet 1, same action (ex: drawing border to the table) should be done automatically in sheet 2, 3, etc., instead doing it repeatedly.

Is there anyway to do this in excel 2007.

    Your help is highly appreciated.

Let me know if the question is not clear, we can discuss more clearly.

    Thanks,

    Sathish.

Before performing any formatting, right click over one of the sheet tabs, and "select all sheets".

Then format. Changes will affect all sheets selected.
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1

    Sweep,

Thanks for ur reply. I tried this but this is not working. When i fill cell C1 with red color in sheet 1, same action is not reflected in sheet 2.

    Thanks,

    Sathish.
