Question Export Data from Excel to MS Word

    Hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct forum.

Is there a way to export the data from an excel sheet to a Word application in desired format.

I usually receive the data in an excel sheet and have to manually type the data in to the Ms word application and then make the necessary formatting.

The template in which the data has to be typed in MS Word is always the standard one and hence the excel sheet which I receive as well.

I need to know if there s way to export this data from the excel application to the ms word application directly without altering the formatting in either of the sheets.

I can simply do the copy paste, but the practical situation is there will be hundreds of such sheets which I need to work on and I just want to reduce the tedious work.

For reference, I am attaching my excel sheet with the name "Excel Format_ Received Data" and the Word file how it should look like with the name "Word Format_Expected output". Due to its size I have just zipped the word file.

Please let me know the procedure by either the excel built-in function or by custom function using the macro.

    Regards,
    Avinash

    Hi
Save the Akumar.xls inside the folder containing 100+ files and run the macro. It lists top 8 fields from all files. save it.
Open AK.zip and from the word document run mail merge. It creates a form letter for all customers.
If it works for you, you can extend it to all fields.
There may be faster/better options available. Watch out for other members response
