Im prity sure that in excel 2007 you have to create you own xlstart file. Any excel files withen the xlstart file will automaticly open when you open excel.
aleats thats the conclusing i came to after playing around with it.

Thank you. I did some initial tests too, I recorded a macro and ask it to store in personal work book. it did store there, but I cannot find it in xlstart. I even searched it I could not see where it is located.
I am asking this because I want to get my personal macro work book for older version to the new version. Any thoughts..?
    thank you

    Re: personal macro workbook

Have you stored any macros in your 2007 Personal workbook? If not it won't have been created. This is where it should be

In Windows Vista, the Personal.xlsb is stored at C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART

In Windows XP its at C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLStart folder.
    Hope that helps.
