    Ontimer VS Access

    Hello there,

I have the following code that works fine in Excel... Every 15 seconds, a msg is displayed for 5 seconds.

The problem I'm having is that after my Ontime functions in my MainSub(),I am executing an access macro that takes ~ 20 min. to run, here is the code executing access macro:

I though it had something to do with the DisplayAlert to false, but it's not...
it seems that when control is to Access, my Excel timer is not working.
once the Access macro as finished running, I get back my "Timer Msg".

any ways to have this timer activated while running Access macro??

    Re: Ontimer VS Access

You could stop the Excel timer macro when Access begins and run the timer macro from within Access, when Access is finished, run the Excel timer.
    Just swap back and forth.
If its just a 15 second mesage, a few lost seconds wont hurt.
