Excel locks up when importing file w/macro.

I have a macro that reads a sample file (SAMPLE.LAS attached) but it locks up Excel when I import the file. I don't know how to debug.

    Hello Jim15,

It would be much easier to help you debug this if I knew what data you were trying to extract from the text file.
    Sincerely,

There are 2 sections to the file, the HEADER and CURVE data. I would like to bring the header information into a separate worksheet and the curve data into another. The curve data would go into separate columns. Curve data Column 1 is depth in feet, column 2 is sonic travel time in microseconds per foot and column 3 is spontaneous potential in millivolts.

The header data is self-explanatory with the description, I thought. This format conforms to a standard by the Canadian Well Logging Society given on their web site at http://cwls.org/. if you want more information.

    Thanks,

    Jim15
