    Printing to specific tray(s)

    hello,

i need to setup a macro (in excel 2007) which allows me to print to a non-default printer and so that page 1 prints in tray 3 and the remaining pages print to tray 4 (headed and continuation paper)

    I've found this macro:

which seems to work fine for 1 tray, but i think i need to amend it somehow with the following:

Please Login or Register to view this content.
can anyone show me how to successfully combine the two?!

    Many thanks

Don't bother with those trays. You better use printerprofiles for each setup you need. For every setup, you add the printer and assign the correct profile for that printer as default profile.

ie.: I need a printer that prints on tray 1 for first page and rest on tray 2, I also need a printer that uses only tray 3. You need to define two profiles, let's say lettre and copy with the desired configuration. You export those two profiles and add two printers and name them lettre and copy. You import the profile for the lettre printer and make that the default printing option and you import the profile for the copy printer to the copy printer. Now you just have to switch from printer to print on the correct papertrays.

thanks, that's sorted it, i did have a look at doing it that way but i couldnt find a way to select a different tray for the first page, but on 2nd inspection i noticed a rule system you can add for a different cover page.

    many thanks again
