I can't get my custom button to display on another colleagues menu bar

    Hi,

Hi I built a custom button which sits nicely on my menu bar. A colleague of mine has asked for the same button. I was just wondering what the best way is to send this too her?

I tried to send her the code in an e-mail but the button couldn't find the macro once Book1 was closed down.

I did wonder if this should be done in a xla, that I could send as an attachment and that will automatically load when she clicks the .xla. However I have no idea how to get this to work of how to write in code a script to create a custom button in a menu.

Could somebody help me with this code or the correct way to do this?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Custom Button Macro .xla

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.
    Hope that helps.

You still have unnecessary wording in the thread title

Read the Forum Rules properly & it explains that you do not need unnecessary wording in your title such as "I can't get my".

Also, do not give negative feedback simply because your errors are pointed out!

Thats better, giving an example is a lot more helpful to a new user.

Simply saying "You have unnecessary wording in the thread title" is not very helpful or constructive especially from a Forums Administrator.

    Hence the Negative Feedback

We can write code to do that but we'd need to know where the button goes, what code it runs and what it should look like. If you could post a workbook with the code you have, that would help.
